Demonstrating Impact in KS2 English with the New Ofsted Framework
Cinderford
The new inspection framework puts the curriculum at the heart of inspection with teachers needing to clearly articulate the intent, implementation and impact in their area.
This session will unpick key messages from the ‘Quality of Education’, ‘Behaviour and Attitudes’ and ‘Personal Development’ sections of the 2019 Ofsted framework and we will look at practical strategies and approaches for English that will meet the needs of the new framework for schools to succeed. These include (but are not restricted to) ‘helping learners to remember learning in the long term’, creating an ‘environment that allows learners to focus on learning’, encouraging children to be ‘committed learners who can study effectively and show resilience’ and encouraging ‘resilient, confident and independent’ learners in our classrooms.
Sarah is working with an Ofsted Inspector on Reading prior to this training so will be able to pass on updates for this area also.
This training is suitable for KS2 Teachers / English Subject Leaders
