This training presents an opportunity to develop the skills to plan, teach and assess science across the primary age range. The sessions will clarify curriculum expectations, explore how to create a clear teaching sequence for science and also develop ideas for teaching focused ‘Working Scientifically’ skills. We will look at how to build evidence for accurate assessment, share good practice and explore creative teaching ideas.
Session 1 will focus on curriculum progression and coverage, assessment and teaching sequence.

Observe a KS1 science lesson and discuss your observations with your mentor
